Our Flea & Tick control program is designed to suppress the presence/population of fleas and ticks throughout your yard. The program consists of up to 5 applications that target flea and tick hotspots on your property, with most customers needing only 3 applications (the program minimum) to take care of their pest problem.
If needed, we offer additional treatments for overwintering ticks, which have become more prevalent over the last few years. Treating a little earlier in the Spring will help to knock down ticks in the nymph (infant) stages. Later season treatments in the Fall will help minimize the overwintering species of ticks.
We encourage our customers to start with a treatment in early spring (when ticks lay eggs) to help control ticks in the nymph stages.
Early-season treatments suppress populations during their initial and immature stages, before they have the chance to spread.
Mid-season treatments focus on adult pests as they feed and reproduce, disrupting breeding cycles and minimizing new generations.
Ticks and fleas are highly active during the heart of summer, so we focus our mid-summer treatment on identifying and eradicating any existing populations in your yard.
Late-season treatments reduce populations preparing to overwinter, extending protection through the end of the season and into the following spring.
Healthy Lawn's Proactive Pest Defense is an 8-step program designed to suppress the presence and population of the most dangerous outdoor pests in our area, with a focus on mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks. By combining mosquito control and flea & tick services into one plan, we deliver a more efficient, effective, and comprehensive solution for protecting your family, pets, and outdoor spaces.
Fleas and ticks thrive in overgrown or poorly maintained yards, especially when pets or wildlife are present. Neighboring properties with such conditions can invite fleas and ticks into your yard, no matter how tidy you keep your landscape. Though no treatment can create a complete barrier, our pros target key areas around your property that disrupt the life cycle and deter the presence of fleas, & ticks, as well as mosquitoes!
Fleas like to congregate in the shady, moist areas of your yard such as under decks, porches, or places that are just out of reach of sunlight. Keeping your grass cut and your yard free of debris such as leaf piles, grass clippings, or any other organic material will keep them at bay, but they are still present.
Ticks like to hang out in areas where there are branches they can latch on to and wait for a host to walk by and attach its self. New Jersey has some of the highest incidents of Lyme disease in the country- protect your family and pets today!
